It’s been a mad race against time and the elements here. The first snow is falling and the radiant heat is online, just in time. Warm water is flowing through the tubes and warming the concrete floors as we speak. It’s crazy. I’m used to putting on a coat to go into the house, and now I get to take my coat off. Jack is running around barefoot.
Ryan keeps marveling…”it’s such a different kind of heat.” As much as I keep teasing him for this vocal tic, he is right. It’s weird to go into a basement and have it get warmer and drier. It’s strange to have heat be so…quiet. No blowing fans. No vents. And my feet are so happy. I’m used to having cold feet all the time. Chilblains will be a thing of the past.
